RILEY MOTOR CLUB (Inc. in Victoria)

The Riley Motor Club was founded in Victoria in 1958 with the prime aim of promoting and fostering the interest of Riley vehicle owners, drivers and enthusiasts to use, maintain and preserve Riley vehicles of all ages.  We are proud that some members have maintained their association with the club virtually since its inception. This “marque lyalty” has resulted in a huge pool of knowledge on restoration and maintenance which is actively shared.

The Club meets at 8 p.m. on the first Friday of each month (except January) at the Eric Raven Reserve, Estella St Glen Iris (Melways ref 59 K). Activities include Guest Speakers, Technical lectures, Films, and Novelty evenings. No administrative business is conducted at club meetings as the focus is on getting together, being entertained and talking about our common interest.

The Club runs one main monthly event usually on the Sunday following the Friday club meeting. Activities include: day tours to places of interest usually with picnic or catered lunch, tour of members garages, country weekends away, display /concours d,elegance day,

National Rallys are held each year, hosted by each State on a revolving roster.

We also encourage members to use their cars at all events run by the AOMC, the Federation, RACV and historic race meetings

Club administration is handled by a 12 person committee at a separate monthly meeting.

The Club has close associations with the Riley Clubs in all States of Australia and Overseas.

We have an excellent spare parts service for members catering for most models of Riley. Parts are imported from the U.K., manufactured locally or sourced interstate.

We have a Club library for member’s use which includes a wide range of Riley manuals, reference material, other motoring books, Videos and CDs/DVDs.

We produce a high quality monthly magazine “The Blue Diamond” to keep members informed of the club’s activities, also included are technical articles, restoration tips and members’ articles on their cars and events.
